The Deferred Data plugin is automatically enabled when you add a new device to enable you to import third party data and manipulate that data with SevOne NMS. The Deferred Data plugin uses the API scripts you define to import third party data. Contact your SevOne Sales Engineer to schedule API training or to arrange one on one time with a SevOne developer.
Perform the following steps to enable the Deferred Data plugin for each device from which you want to monitor deferred data metrics.
From the navigation bar, click the Devices menu and select Device Manager.
Either add a device with the Deferred Data plugin or edit a device to enable the Deferred Data plugin.
Click and select Add New Device to display the New Device page.
Click to display the Edit Device page.
- Click the plugin drop-down (displays SNMP by default) and select Deferred Data.
Select the Allow Scripts to Import Data check box.
